The LOK Group of Companies...
The LOK Group of Companies is a hospitality management, development, consulting and brokerage company dedicated to providing service beyond expectations.
Located in Sonoma County, north of San Francisco, the Lok family started out in 1970 with a small fixer upper hotel in Santa Rosa and presently owns and manages a “Gold Award” winning Quality Inn in Petaluma, the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Sebastopol and the Quality Hotel Americana Nogales in Nogales, AZ.
Our experienced corporate management staff represents a multi-faceted team of professionals whose capabilities can be directed to meet the specials needs of each project in the most cost effective manner. We will listen to your vision, recognize your competitive advantages, identify both your limitations and possibilities and adapt them to the trends and demands of an ever-changing marketplace.
Quality Hotel Americana, Nogales, AZ
Our latest acquisition happened in April 2014, we acquired the 98 room, full service Americana Hotel in the small border town of Nogales, AZ, one mile from the border of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. Sister cities, Nogales, AZ is a suburban extension of Nogales Son, a place you can access one mile from our hotel at the Grand Avenue Port of Entry.
The LOK Group re-flagged the hotel as the Quality Hotel Americana Nogales and we are now part of the Choice Hotel International family. We are the only full service hotel in Nogales, AZ with 98 rooms and full service restaurant and lounge and approximately 4,000 sq. ft of banquet and meeting space.
The hotel was built in the late 1970’s and has since seen extensive renovation in the last seven years. The LOK Group has replaced infrastructure to the physical plant which was not addressed at the time of renovation and we expect to update other aspects of the hotel by the end of 2015.
Quality Inn, Petaluma, CA
In 1984, the Lok family purchased a hotel development site in the northern boundary of the City of Petaluma and began their first new construction hotel project. The 110-unit hotel included four one-bedroom suites, thirty-nine Executive King rooms and a meeting room. The hotel quickly achieved success and continues to this day to out perform its competitive market set.
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Sebastopol, CA
In 1996, community leaders from the City of Sebastopol approached the Lok family and asked that the explore the feasibility of building a hotel in their community. Construction began on the 82- unit property in the summer of 1997and opened in July 1998. The hotel was an Excellent Quality Performer since its first day of opening, with consistent ratings in the brand’s top 10% of Guest Satisfaction Scoring.
At the end of January 2009, the LOK Group completed a $2 million dollar renovation including a reflagging of the hotel to a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. The signature "Green Tea" guest room design brings an updated warm contemporary look to all areas of the hotel including public spaces. This was an opportunity to reintroduce a fresh rejuvenated hotel property into the existing West Sonoma County guest room inventory.
Sheraton Petaluma Hotel, Petaluma, CA
In 2000, the LOK Group began construction on a full service hotel strategically located in southern Sonoma County. Development efforts were recognized in national trade publications for the then visionary installation of a comprehensive network infrastructure of VOIP telephony, wireless Internet access, biometric time cards and computerized laundry system.
This property included 182 guestrooms, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, restaurant and lounge. The project required perseverance, sensitivity and finesse to move through political and government processes with a high barrier to entry and considerable community wariness.
Clarion Hotel near Cal Expo, Sacramento, CA
In January 2004, the LOK Group secured the management contract for the struggling Inn at the Oaks. Built in 1960 as a roadside hotel on, what was then, the outskirts of Sacramento, the Inn had multiple reincarnations. But with an eye toward transforming the hotel into a profitable investment for Ownership, LOK Group took steps for immediate cost containment to improve operating efficiencies and worked closely with Ownership to develop strategies to enhance the asset's overall performance, business reputation, employee morale and curb appeal.
In July of 2004, the hotel was reflagged as a Clarion Hotel and coupled with a $2 million renovation it allowed the asset to compete effectively in the market place.
